Bal Vikas Bangsar’s Family Fun Weekend
The recent Family Fun Weekend for SSE parents and students of Bangsar centre saw a one-night stay at the Melaka eco resort, EL Sanctuary. The day started with jungle trekking around the luscious 8-acre property with a guide and a group of guardian dogs. Then all participated in fun and games till it was time to shower and have dinner.

One of the highlights of the getaway was the campfire
The group managed to get a campfire going since it didn’t rain the whole day. Led by Danesh from Group 2 (the in house entertainer), the group had a tribal fire dance after eating smoked marshmallow (kids found long twigs and cooked their own marshmallow on it).
Then all laid down on the open field and gazed at the beautiful blanket of stars (spotted the north star). A short talent time was held indoors, with kids reading poetry, performing acrobatic acts and dance. Followed by hot Milo with more marshmallow before hitting the sack.
The next day started with sun salutations and postures in an open field before breakfast. The group then headed to Tanjung Bidara for a wet and wild time. The trip ended with a scrumptious vegetarian Western styled lunch at the resort before heading back to Kuala Lumpur. It truly was a great time out of the usual classroom environment to get to know each other better.
