STAR Programme at SMK Tun Sri Syed Nasir Ismail
The STAR camp for SMK Tun Sri Syed Nasir Ismail (18th – 19th June 2011) was conducted by the Johor youths at Akademi Kemahiran Latihan Insan, Kota Tinggi . The two day camp was attended by 80 students from the school entirely funded by the school. At the closing ceremony of the camp, the PIBG President of the school and the School Principal praised and thanked the Sai Organisation for initiating and inspiring the students with human values. Most importantly the students were inspired and many of them shared new visions and aspirations in life. Sai’s Love has touched the hearts of many youths through the Sai Youths.
The purpose of the camp which was planned at the beginning of the STAR was to ignite the enthusiam, the hope, and the inspiration among the students so that they will be commited to the subsequent STAR modules. The Youths of Johor under the leadership of Bro Aridash, Johor State Youth Leader and the Team Leader for this event Sister Sitthira took great effort in organising this event. The enthusiasm to launch this initiative was in response to the call by Parlimen JB to the Sai Council of Johor as there was a special need required for an identified group of students in the school. With the guidance and support of Johor State Coordinator, Uncle Govindan, the youths have marched forward to the need of the hour. They will be conducting regular STAR modules on a weekly basis for the next 3-4 months. They are also planning to organise a memorable Service Programme for the students. As the vision is to make this school a model school, other activities are being planned to manifest a change in a hollistic manner.
